In April 2024 we visited the JEA water treatment facility in Jacksonville, and learned all about JEA's efforts to clean up sewage and other brown waters, before they are released to the river. Students got to ask questions, took a tour of the facility and enjoyed (not really) the smells of the area.
This event on the JWJ campus is a celebration of the Water Project. Students get to present their work, their research, and the artifacts they created. The audience: other JWJ students, administrators, community members, and local experts.
This is anticipated to be a multi-year program for JWJ and more events will be planned and organized throuhgout the year in the future.
Stay tuned!!!
